Governor’s Volunteer Service Award for Businesses- 2020

The Serve Illinois Commission on Volunteerism and Community Service presents the Governor’s Volunteer Service Awards. These awards recognize inindividual volunteers through a statewide award program to highlight the importance of volunteerism and community service in the State of Illinois.

For service to: Tireless Project
The JIMAX Group of Illinois upholds service to their community as a key pillar of their operations and is integral to the resiliency of their neighborhoods and company ethos, providing a wide range of volunteer opportunities that align with their core competencies. The Tireless Project was initiated in 2015 with a stated objective of engaging the community to reduce persistent illegal dumping of tires and provide a no-cost environmentally conscious outlet for their disposal. JIMAX has worked diligently to improve the process, engage new stakeholders and partners, and increase outreach in the community, collecting over 20,000 tires since inception. JIMAX donates equipment and a location for the project, as well as provides necessary planning and support, in addition to company employees donating their time. JIMAX could not hope to achieve the success of this program without the “tireless” assistance of employees and other local volunteers who graciously donate their time.

City of Peoria business of the year award- 2018

Selected every year by the City of Peoria, this honor is given to a locally owned and operated company that goes above and beyond to better the community they work in. JIMAX was selected in 2018 for their efforts with the Tireless Project, Board up Beautification Project, Neighborhood park / garden volunteering, Neighborhood Cleanup initiative, Big Picture Project, and numerous other no cost projects throughout the City of Peoria.

United States Armed Forces

2019 Seven Seals Award- The Seven Seals Award Presented to a Company that leads by meritorious leadership and initiative in support of the men and women who serve America in the National Guard and Reserve.

2018 Patriot Award- The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures including flexible schedules, time off prior to and after deployment, caring for families, and granting leaves of absence if needed.
